Thoughts on Food

In these days of super-abundant food, available 24/7 and relatively inexpensive, a lot of us are worrying about our weight, shape and size and about our relationship with food. Far too many of us are overweight or eating badly. How can we understand this? Can we use psychological ideas to understand how we are using food and why we find it so hard to do what we know we should? This workshop invites you to think about your food use and whether you might be hoping that food will make you feel better and get you through the day. It will suggest that there are better ways of managing our lives than by overeating or comforting ourselves with food.
